Befourth of July™ is a laid-back holiday for adults who miss the easy magic of hanging out without a big production. Show up, grab a drink, and relax in good company. The Befourth happens annually on the Saturday before the weekend when the Fourth is broadly celebrated.

The Befourth reclaims a little summer for ourselves, creating community without pressure or planning. Whether it’s on a patio, in a park, or around a kitchen island, the goal is simple: chill vibes, good friends, and zero expectations.

The first Befourth of July™ was celebrated on June 28, 2025 with parties in a handful of US cities. Befourth is a creative venture launched by Ashley Lipe. Ashley is also the co-founder of Soulful Saturdays, a monthly women’s gathering that builds community and gets past the small talk.
